Gregory said that a black male entered the Pickens Bank of America branch on E. Main Street at 4:45pm.

The man presented a note demanding money from the teller, then left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, Gregory said.

He then fled in a red pickup truck toward Easley.

Within minutes, local law enforcement agencies were told to be on the lookout for the pickup, and given a description of the suspect.

Deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office spotted a truck matching the description.

Easley police officers joined in the pursuit and the suspects were taken into custody a short time later.

Gregory said the joint effort between the Pickens Police Department, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the Easley Police Department resulted in the case being solved within minutes with no damage to property or injuries.

The pickup truck had been reported stolen out of Greenville, Gregory said.

Missouri is also charged with use of vehicle without permission, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
