County Delegation meets to restructure the school board, why didn't anyone know about it?
Pickens County Legislative Delegation holds meeting - Who Knew??
The "Pickens County Delegation" met in the Delegation office in West End Hall, in Easley, SC. at 9:00AM on the morning of September 18th, 2013. The purpose of the meeting was to restructure the Pickens County School Board, possibly adding members. The first and only notice I know of about this meeting was an email sent out by the county GOP chairman, ONE DAY before the meeting. To the best of my knowledge, the delegation office sent out NO PUBLIC NOTICE!
The secrecy of government in Pickens County MUST END! Restructuring the county school board is something that effects almost everyone in the county, yet almost NO ONE knows about it!
If there was ANY notice, other than a few emails sent out to select people, please comment here and tell us about it. The county party chairman, sent emails out to his mail list and informed us as soon as he found out about the meeting, so he did his part, and I thank him for that.
The people we need to be questioning about this are: Sen. Larry Martin, and Reps. Phil Owens, Davey Hiott, and B.R. Skelton
