Senate District 2 Debate draws big audience - Watch it Online!

The SC Senate District 2 Debate is online. Find out where to watch it right here!

The candidates for SC Senate District 2 faced off at Tri-County Technical College Easley Campus on October 23rd.  Challenger Rex Rice (Petition Candidate) and Sen. Larry Martin (R) fielded questions asked by four panelists:

Gloria Morris - Executive Director of The Parenting Place

Cindy Hopkins - President of The Easley Chamber of Commerce

Mary Beth Green - Conservatives of the Upstate

Debbie Spaugh - Upstate chapter of Americans for Prosperity

questioned Martin and Rice on a wide variety of issues, followed by several questions from audience members in attendance.  The district 2 race has become one of the hottest political contests in South Carolina, and the issues discussed were not just about Pickens County, but have statewide interest.

Pickens County Votes (PCVotes) produced and presented this debate, and it is the last of a series showcasing several of the political contests in Pckens County.  The mission is tp spark interest in the political process locally by making the candidates directly available to the voting public.  The entire series is available online to view and review at any time.  This gives the voters the opportunity to review what every candidate has said on all the issues covered so they can be better informed on election day.
