Although I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, my family has roots in the Easley area that go back generations. I actually attended kindergarten at Forest Acres Elementary before we moved away. My dad served in the Navy, so we called Goose Creek and New Orleans home before coming back here in 1996. I graduated from Easley High School and went down the road to Clemson, where I received an English degree.

I worked at The Easley Progress, Pickens Sentinel and Powdersville Post for many years, wearing many hats and covering many beats, before becoming Local Editor of Easley Patch in May of 2012.

When I'm not watching movies, I'm reading about movies.
