According to AAA Carolinas, you should get your battery, air conditioning and other components checked before leaving on a long trip over the July 4 holiday, as extreme heat causes the water and sulfuric acid fluid mixture in car batteries to evaporate. Free kids movies will be shown on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Looking for a way to spend time with your kids and get out of the summer heat? The summer kids show series at REI Cinemas' Easley Cinemas 8 location is in full swing. The free kids shows began on June 12 and run through August 8, with a different movie shown each week. The movies are shown twice per day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am and 11am. The Summer Movies Series is unsupervised and sometimes sell out, so theater officials recommend parents accompany their kids to the movies.
