Green and White Game Is Tomorrow

Green Wave take the field at 6pm for annual spring game.

Giving the fans a taste of what's to come in the fall, the Green Wave will take the field tomorrow evening. The 2013 Green and White Game begins at 6pm at Easley High School. This game marks the beginning of the Grayson Howell era for the Green Wave. Howell was named the new head coach of the Green Wave in January. He replaces Chad Smith, who took a coaching position at Clover High School. He was previously an assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Sumter High School. Howell began his coaching career as an assistant at Daniel High School under Allen Sitterle in 1994. He coached at Strom Thurmond High School from 1995-2000, where the team was a state finalist in 1995 and upper state finalist in 1996. Howell has coached at Sumter since…

Football Moms Ready for Season to Kickoff

Easley's Green and White Game begins at 7 p.m. Friday and the mom's club will be selling concessions to help raise money for the team.

While the football season is still months away, there are some folks behind the scene who are ready to make it a winning season. They call themselves the Easley Football Mom's Club. And while they can't be out on the field with their children, they do the next best thing by supporting them. The mom's club works to raise money to help the football team meet its needs. Kenyatta Moore, Kendrell Moore's mom, heads up the group of ladies. Fundraising has already started for the fall season. The group already has rasied money through a silent auction, but they aren't done yet. At Friday's Green and White spring game, they will be selling concessions at Brice Field.
