Best of Winner: The Starving Artist Cafe
The Easley eatery won 33 percent of the vote in the Patch "Best Of" Valentine contest.
If the way to the heart is through the stomach, then our Patch readers have found the best place to take your Valentine. In our inaugural "Best of Patch" contest, 101 voters cast their ballots for the restaurant that was best suited to wine and dine your sweetheart. And the winner is: The Starving Artist Cafe. Receiving 34 votes in the contest, the casual dining restaurant offers breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday and serves dinner on Thursday and Friday. Owner Vicki Ciplickas said an email blast to customers on Wednesday helped to get the word out about the voting.
