"Witness for the Prosecution" Opens Tonight
The Easley Foothills Playhouse presents the classic Agatha Christie courtroom drama.
The stage at the Easley Foothills Playhouse is set for suspense as the theater opens tonight with Agatha Christie's "Witness For the Prosecution." The cast of the classic courtroom drama has been hard at work navigating the tense twists and turns since the holidays. Director Maurice Reed, of Easley, has directed three plays at the Foothills Playhouse and said he is especially excited for this production. "Agatha Christie throws her little twists and turns in there and leads the audience one way or the other," Reed said. The play is reminiscent of older courtroom dramas like "Perry Mason" or "Judd for the Defense", Reed said. The plot centers around the trial of Leonard Vole, a likable young man accused of murder.
