Tigerama Kicks Off Homecoming Weekend Sept. 27

Tigerama tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 for adults and $6 for students and children. Tickets at the door are $10.

Clemson University’s homecoming weekend is set to kick off with the 57th annual Tigerama pep rally at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Littlejohn Coliseum.

The free Tigerama Tailgate will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn of Littlejohn Coliseum before the ticketed Tigerama. The family-friendly pre-event will feature live musical performances and activity booths sponsored by student organizations.

One emcee for the evening will be Clemson alumnus and former staff member Casey Berkshire. Berkshire was the director for freshmen academic programs in the Office of Undergraduate Studies nine years.

A second emcee will be a student selected in a campuswide competition titled “The Host.” The competition is taking place until this Friday. Applicants, each sponsored by an organization, will be interviewed and narrowed to 10 finalists. The finalists will compete in four challenges to earn points. The winner will have the opportunity to co-emcee Tigerama.

The theme for Tigerama is “Paw Prints in the Sand,” reflecting on the legacy and the mark that Clemson students have on the university. The event will feature head football coach Dabo Swinney, the Clemson football team, Tiger Band, the cheerleaders, Rally Cats and the winners of the annual skit competition.
