Officials will decide when play will resume after checking field conditions Saturday morning.

We love to go to the Highway 25 Drive-In in Greenwood. They have two screens showing 2 - 3 movies…Read More per night each and you can get a great burger or sandwich from their concession stand, too. It's a very family-oriented venue with a playground in front of the screen to keep the kids entertained before the movie starts.

One thing I loved about them was the fact you could bring your own concessions and save a lot of money. I also remember the playgrounds just about all of them had to keep the children entertained before the show started, during intermission and while waiting for the cars to get out. Only thing I did not enjoy going with my family, our dad always left before the end of the second feature, to beat the crowd. One movie I waited more than 30 years to see the end of it and had to stay up until 2 AM and be at work at 6 the next morning, lol.
I miss those days. Thanks for letting me know the one on Highway 25 in Greenwood is open.

I was the youngest sister of 3 girls and my sister took me as her "prop" she was never ask who I was or anything the pic was used in the yearbook. One of the spots on her face got infected and a couple of weeks later meningitis put her into the hospital on her second birthday. Was there a conecction? We do not know, but if there had been a vaccine for CP then, it might have saved us that horrible experience.

I took a CPR class many years ago where I worked, and I can guarantee you that if I had to do it now, whomever I was doing it on would be in trouble. The fact of the matter is that if you don't have a deep interest in retaining the skill, you're going to forget whatever it is you learned within a year or two, and unless you happen to beat the odds and find yourself in the whatever-hundred thousand to one situation where you would actually need to remember, it is going to be a complete waste of time. Bottom line - while it sounds like a noble goal, it's a big waste of time and a complete misuse of school time that should be spent on the three R's.

Most people in an emergency situation, panic and do not do what they are supposed to do. Cool heads rarely prevail.
