Greenville District 7 Wins US Semi-Finals
Southeast will play Latin America in Championship Game of Big League World Series Wednesday night.
An Upstate team will represent the United States in the Championship Game of the Big League World Series Wednesday night.
Southeast (Greenville District 7) defeated West (Thousand Oaks, Texas) tonight in the US Semi Final of the series.
The final score was 7-3.
Southeast score twice in the second and West answered with a run of their own. Greenville District 7 scored three more times in the third and once more in the fourth.
West scored twice more in the fourth and remained scoreless the rest of the game. Southeast earned their final run in the seventh.
Southeast was undefeated coming into the Semi Finals.
Southeast will face Latin America (Venezuela) in the Championship Game. Latin America defeated Asia-Pacific (Chinese-Taipei) 3-2 in the International Semi Final Tuesday evening.
The Championship Game begins at 6:30pm Wednesday, July 31 and will be televised on ESPN.
