Wren Elementary Principal Named Administrator of the Year

SC School Counselor's Association recognizes Rhonda Rhodes

Ms. Rhonda Rhodes, Principal at Wren Elementary in Anderson School District One, was recently named Administrator of the Year by the South Carolina School Counselor’s Association. The award is designed to recognize an outstanding administrator for the profound and lasting impact on the counseling and helping profession.  Ms. Rhodes was recognized during the SCSCA Fall Conference 2012 on November 3 at the awards luncheon in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Ms. Rhodes said, “It is an honor to be recognized by such a professional organization as the South Carolina School Counselors Association. This group recognizes and serves the needs of an entire school community and focuses on how students are different as a result of our work. Being recognized with this honor is a testament of Wren Elementary School’s comprehensive counseling program and our overall mission: “Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day.”

Dr. Wayne Fowler, Superintendent for Anderson One, said, “Ms. Rhodes works closely with the guidance counselor in her school. She is very involved with the school family and community. She works diligently to maintain a school culture that supports high student achievement. She is very deserving of this award.”
