Tri-County Technical College’s Corporate and Community Education Division will offer a Computer Technician Certificate August 27 - December 17 at the Easley QuickJobs Center, located adjacent to the College’s Easley Campus on 1704 Powdersville Road. The class will be held on Mondays from 6 - 9 p.m. Registration is now open and space is limited.
In this instructor-led program, students will gain the needed knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems. Students will learn the essential principles of installing, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing, and preventive maintenance, and the elements of customer service and communication skills necessary to work with clients. In addition, this certificate program will prepare students for the CompTIA® A+® Certification exams. The cost of $1,595 includes textbooks/toolkit, and a 12-month subscription to the online class and resources.
Upon completion, a student will also have the necessary skills to take the CompTIA A+ Certification exam. The CompTIA A+ Certification is the industry standard for computer support technicians. It tests for the fundamentals of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communications skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals.
