A local student is getting recognition for his hard work and dedication to school.
Louie Alexander, who is a student at Powdersville High School, has been accepted into the S.C. Governor's School for Science and Mathematics in Hartsville.
Alexander is the subject of a feature in Sunday's The New York Times.
