Powdersville Elementary School named art teacher Lindsay Nix as its 2013-2014 “Teacher of the Year.”

Mrs. Nix, completing her fourth year at the school, was selected by the faculty.
“It truly is an honor to have been chosen out of such an outstanding group of fellow teachers,” Nix stated.

Mrs. Gill, principal at Powdersville Elementary, is proud of Mrs. Nix. “She does so much for the students at our school and no one is more deserving of this honor,” Gill explained.
Nix will represent Powdersville Elementary in the district competition and have an opportunity to be chosen as Anderson School District One’s “District Teacher of the Year.” Mrs. Gill announced the exciting news at a faculty meeting last week.
