Anderson District One Students Perform Well On End-of-Course Assessments
Students scored well enough to place the district second in the state on the ELA assessment with 82.8 percent.
WILLIAMSTON – End of Course scores were recently release by the State Department of Education. Anderson District One students performed well on all EOC assessments.
Students scored well enough to place the district second in the state on the ELA assessment with 82.8 percent. This well surpasses the state average of 77.9 percent.
US History scores for Anderson One improved significantly from 2012 to 2013. Student’s average score in 2013 was 75.3 percent up from 70.4 in 2012.

Superintendent David Havird commented, “We are pleased that the district average far exceeds the state average for the EOC test. I am particularly pleased with the improvement on the US History exam. Teachers have set higher expectations and raised the rigor in these courses resulting in positive results.”
Jane Harrison, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction said, “Teachers in Anderson One are committed to providing high quality instruction. More than ever before, they are collaborating with other teachers of the same subject content across the district to implement new instructional strategies. They are never satisfied with status quo and always looking for ways to improve instruction.”
