Road to Be Named After Sheriff Stone
Road that runs in front of Sheriff's Office will be renamed in honor of Retired Sheriff C. David Stone and his 44 years of service.
Sheriff Rick Clark proudly announces that on August 23rd, 2013 at 9:00am, there will be a ceremony at the Pickens County Law Enforcement to honor Retired Sheriff C. David Stone for his 44 years of faithful service to the citizens of Pickens County.
The ceremony will celebrate the renaming of the current L.E.C. Road to C. David Stone Rd. in Pickens. Sheriff Clark stated, “We wanted to honor Sheriff Stone in a way that would last for generations. It is fitting that the road he came to work on everyday will now be named after him and in honor of his service to Pickens County for over four decades.”
Sheriff Clark also stated, “I would like to thank the local officials who contributed to the process of making this vision a reality and I invite all of our citizens to come out and attend this dedication to Sheriff Stone”.
