Fire Department to Host Open House Thursday

Educational booths will be set up throughout the fire station to help kids learn about safety.

An upcoming event will give kids a chance to meet some of the members of the community who help keep them safe.

The Easley Fire Department will host its annual Open House Thursday, October 10 at

The annual event always draws a large crowd to Fire Station No. 2, located at 180 Glenwood Road.

The event begins at 5:11pm and will run until 8pm.

Come meet Freddie the Fire Cat, Sparky the Fire Dog, Sparky the Robot and Tony, the Easley Police Department's Drug Dog.

Educational booths will be set up throughout the fire station, teaching kids about calling 911, forestry, seatbelt safety, car seats, boating/water safety, bike safety, preventing kitchen fires, smoke alarms and more.

Refreshments will be served.
