Easley Man Killed in Monday Crash

The accident happened in Pickens County at the intersection of Highway 183 and Jim Hunt Road.

One person is dead and another injured after a crash Monday afternoon in Pickens County.

The two-car crash happened about 12:50 p.m. at the intersection of state Highway 183 and Jim Hunt Road.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a pickup truck was traveling south on Highway 183 and a car was traveling west on Jim Hunt Road. They said the two vehicles collided at the intersection.

Robert Conner, 36, who was a passenger in the car was killed in the crash, according to the Pickens County Coroner's Office. He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

The driver of the pickup and the driver of the car were both taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their conditions at this time are not known.

The wreck is under investigation by Highway Patrol.

We love to go to the Highway 25 Drive-In in Greenwood. They have two screens showing 2 - 3 movies…Read More per night each and you can get a great burger or sandwich from their concession stand, too. Saw many movies at drive ins over the years. Cannot remember the first one or the last one, but, it…Read More was always fun. One thing I loved about them was the fact you could bring your own concessions and save a lot of money. I also remember the playgrounds just about all of them had to keep the children entertained before the show started, during intermission and while waiting for the cars to get out. Only thing I did not enjoy going with my family, our dad always left before the end of the second feature, to beat the crowd. One movie I waited more than 30 years to see the end of it and had to stay up until 2 AM and be at work at 6 the next morning, lol. I miss those days. Thanks for letting me know the one on Highway 25 in Greenwood is open.

But regardless of her choices as a teen, being a mom is a huge representation of the person you become and that she became as a result of having the child. How is that less significant than a football?

I was the youngest sister of 3 girls and my sister took me as her "prop" she was never ask who I was or anything the pic was used in the yearbook. Its is not shameful to show others that one bad decision doesn't have to lead to more! To me this could have been used to help encouraged other teen mom's, cause lets face it teen motherhood. Is an issue these days.

I'm with you JackDaniel - this sounds like something designed to pad someone's pocket. If someone…Read More wants to learn CPR, they can find ways to do it. I took a CPR class many years ago where I worked, and I can guarantee you that if I had to do it now, whomever I was doing it on would be in trouble. The fact of the matter is that if you don't have a deep interest in retaining the skill, you're going to forget whatever it is you learned within a year or two, and unless you happen to beat the odds and find yourself in the whatever-hundred thousand to one situation where you would actually need to remember, it is going to be a complete waste of time. Bottom line - while it sounds like a noble goal, it's a big waste of time and a complete misuse of school time that should be spent on the three R's.

My 19 year old daughter was provided alcohol by her grandmother, my mother-in-law. I had her arrested and she inturned contacted my daughter and made her feel sorry for her and convinced my daughter to go to the judge and tell them she did not want to pursue it anymore. Tampering with states witness is what it sounds like to me, but they dropped the warrant.
