Easley Man Indicted For Threatening Sen. Lindsey Graham

Simon Long faces 10 year sentence

A Pickens County man is charged with mailing threats to U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham.

Simon Peter Long, 31, of Easley, was indicted Tuesday for mailing threatening communications, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 876(c), U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said.  

The maximum penalty Simon Peter Long could receive is 10 years imprisonment.

The case was investigated by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Jeanne Howard of the Greenville office for prosecution.
