Herman Demmink dePluygers

Herman Demmink dePluygers, 84, of 1705 Skylyn Place, husband of Theodora Pluygers Demmink, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.

Born May 16, 1928 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, he was a son of the late Johannes and Evendina Luimers Demmink. Following his service in the Dutch Army, Mr. Demmink dePluygers came to America in 1956 with his wife and two of his children. He retired in 1993 from Textile Machine International. Mr. Demmink dePluygers loved reading, gardening and traveling with his wife.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his sons, Yon Demmink (Cindy Lee), Paul Demmink (Savany) and Herman Demmink (Joyce); daughter, Thea Murray (Bill); grandchildren, Herman, III and Leif Demmink, Liles and Anneke Demmink and Christina and Christopher Murray; great-grandchildren, Savannah Jo Wood, Weston Andrew Wood, Noah Ethan Wood, Mackenzie Thea Murray and Myles Tucker Murray.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the chapel of .

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 5:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
