Mr. Bruce John Dyer, 55, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at his home.

Born in New York, NY, a son of Francis John Dyer, of Easley, and the late Denise Schwerdinlin Dyer, Mr. Dyer was employed with Hann Motor Company for 22 years and was previously employed with McCall Motors. Bruce was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving are his father and many friends in the Easley area. In addition to his mother, Mr. Dyer was predeceased by a brother, Gregg Dyer.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in the chapel of .

Condolences may be expressed online or in person at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, which is assisting the family.

We love to go to the Highway 25 Drive-In in Greenwood. They have two screens showing 2 - 3 movies…Read More per night each and you can get a great burger or sandwich from their concession stand, too. It's a very family-oriented venue with a playground in front of the screen to keep the kids entertained before the movie starts.

Saw many movies at drive ins over the years. Cannot remember the first one or the last one, but, it…Read More was always fun. One thing I loved about them was the fact you could bring your own concessions and save a lot of money. I also remember the playgrounds just about all of them had to keep the children entertained before the show started, during intermission and while waiting for the cars to get out. Only thing I did not enjoy going with my family, our dad always left before the end of the second feature, to beat the crowd. One movie I waited more than 30 years to see the end of it and had to stay up until 2 AM and be at work at 6 the next morning, lol. I miss those days. Thanks for letting me know the one on Highway 25 in Greenwood is open.

Doesn't that count for something?…Read More We had students who used them in their senior "memory" pages, but not in their school photo. But regardless of her choices as a teen, being a mom is a huge representation of the person you become and that she became as a result of having the child. How is that less significant than a football?

I was the youngest sister of 3 girls and my sister took me as her "prop" she was never ask who I was or anything the pic was used in the yearbook. Its is not shameful to show others that one bad decision doesn't have to lead to more! To me this could have been used to help encouraged other teen mom's, cause lets face it teen motherhood. Is an issue these days.

I'm with you JackDaniel - this sounds like something designed to pad someone's pocket. If someone…Read More wants to learn CPR, they can find ways to do it. I took a CPR class many years ago where I worked, and I can guarantee you that if I had to do it now, whomever I was doing it on would be in trouble. The fact of the matter is that if you don't have a deep interest in retaining the skill, you're going to forget whatever it is you learned within a year or two, and unless you happen to beat the odds and find yourself in the whatever-hundred thousand to one situation where you would actually need to remember, it is going to be a complete waste of time. Bottom line - while it sounds like a noble goal, it's a big waste of time and a complete misuse of school time that should be spent on the three R's.

I just checked Sen Malloy's record and it appears that he is zero for 18 on getting bills passed…Read More this session. He did get three resolutions passed so he is 3 for 22 overall. Maybe he needs to change his line of work. I am still looking for any connection to a company that sells medical/rescue equipment.

Most people in an emergency situation, panic and do not do what they are supposed to do. Cool heads rarely prevail.
