Good morning Easley, today is Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 and there are 47 days left in the year. You may want to pack the umbrella today, there will be a chance of rain this afternoon according to the National Weather Service daily forecast. Otherwise we can expect partly sunny skies today with the afternoon temperature reaching a high of 67 degrees. Rain is likely mainly after 2 p.m. and clouds will increase this evening. Overnight will remain mostly cloudy with an overnight low of 57.

Anyone interested in brushing up on their computer skills should stop by Hampton Memorial Library for one of many classes offered there. Today there will be a Keyboarding Class starting at 10 a.m. At 1 p.m. they will hold a second class on Microsoft Word basics, a must for any workplace. Take advantage of these great free learning opportunities at your local library.

If you're a pickle-lover than you should already be aware, but National Pickle Day is today! Celebrate the Pickle this evening at Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. Check out the amazing Electric Pickle, learn about key moments in pickle history, make pickle crafts, and of course sample some pickles! The celebration starts at 6:30 p.m.

Easley City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 tonight. On the agenda this evening will be a second reading of a few city annexations. The council will also give a second reading to the ordinance to ban bath salts and synthetic marijuana, seek to approve a resolution to award a city contract for the construction of the Couch Lane multi-use path, and to approve a resolution regarding workplace safety.
