We can expect a beautiful sunny day for Veterans Day according to the National Weather Service daily forecast. The temperature, however, will take a dip into the mid 50's today with the afternoon temperature reaching a high of 55. Tonight the skies will remain clear and the overnight low will reach a chilly 33 degrees.
Come celebrate our city's Veterans today at Gettys Middle School. Past and present members of the military and community members are invited to attend. The school's fine arts department will entertain with patriotic performances. This is a free event and open to all. The program starts at 10:45 a.m.
Parents looking for a great afternoon activity for you and the kids should visit the library today. Hampton Memorial Library presents Lego Storybuilders for children ages 6 and up. Kids will read a great story and then use Legos to 'build' on what they've learned. The event will be held in the children's program room and is completely free! The program will be held in the Children's Room starting at 3:30 p.m.
Green Wave fans were out in force last week as Easley rolled over the Wren Hurricanes. Tonight the Green Wave enters the first game of the 4A playoffs against Wren once again. Don't miss an opportunity to make sure your favorite team makes it to the second game. Go Green, Roll Wave!
