Gov. Nikki Haley held a town hall meeting at Spartanburg Community College on Monday, using the opportunity to outline goals for the state and also field a few questions from the audience.

Four South Carolina county election commissions have filed a lawsuit with the South Carolina Supreme Court questioning the legality of the first-in-the-South presidential primary.

Easley residents have contributed $5,055 to various presidential election campaigns since the start of the year, according to figures released by the Federal Elections Commission.

The agencies supported by the United Way of Pickens County are about to become even more united as the organization expands its use of technology and social media.

The Green Wave boys and girls Cross Country teams rose to the occasion on Wednesday and despite difficult conditions, both teams finished second place at the regional meet at the Anderson Civic Center.

Some carried signs, others photographs, but all brought fond memories of four family members who were killed in a mysterious shooting at two Liberty homes on Friday.

County councils across the state are taking action against a new wave of drugs that are being blamed for the death of an Anderson Univeristy basketball player, as well as an incident in Spartanburg County that saw a woman try to steal a police car. 

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control hopes to have an emergency ban on bath salts and synthetic marijuana in place by Friday.
