For the past six years  the mentoring program, Breakers Buddies, has been making a difference in the lives of students at Gettys Middle School in Easley.

It was a full house at Gettys Middle School gymnasium Thursday when students and parents gathered for the annual Black History Month celebration, an event that truly reflected the progress society has made and the positive hope for continued change.

The Forest Acres Elementary design team won the design competition for its car called “The Green Machine” at the SDPC JetToy Challenge on February 17.
