The remodeling project included remodeled bathrooms, as well as a new bathroom, a lobby area with Wi-Fi and a fireplace, as well as the creation of Easley’s first Starbucks, that will be located inside the funeral home.

The shop will be known as The Coffee Corner, as part of Robinson’s agreement with Starbucks, and will be open to the public.

Robinson told Easley Rotary members Tuesday that The Coffee Corner will host a Chamber of Commerce After Hours event on Tuesday, August 28.

“I don’t know if you’ve heard about it,” Robinson told the Rotarians, drawing laughter from the crowd. The announcement of the coffee shop to be located inside the funeral home drew attention from national media and comedians.
