Farm Bureau announced it will drop 3,000 South Carolina homeowners after paying out millions of dollars in storm damages.
WYFF reports that the company is notifying property owners by letter in 17 counties that they will not be renewed.

They paid out 36 million in claims and profitted 36 billion. I find it amazing that SC even does business with these companies. Their objective is to make profits not to insure homes. Auto, Home, Life insurance has become obsolete due to the unregulation and greed. Sometime companies absorb losses and sometime they profit. I am pretty sure that they take into consideration the cost before calculating the premimums, but when you hand out millions in bonuses and don't save for a rainy day this is what happens. Wouldn't it just be wonderful for all the people to buy car, home, health insurance and never make a claim??? PATHETIC

We love to go to the Highway 25 Drive-In in Greenwood. They have two screens showing 2 - 3 movies…Read More per night each and you can get a great burger or sandwich from their concession stand, too. It's a very family-oriented venue with a playground in front of the screen to keep the kids entertained before the movie starts.

One thing I loved about them was the fact you could bring your own concessions and save a lot of money. I also remember the playgrounds just about all of them had to keep the children entertained before the show started, during intermission and while waiting for the cars to get out. Only thing I did not enjoy going with my family, our dad always left before the end of the second feature, to beat the crowd. One movie I waited more than 30 years to see the end of it and had to stay up until 2 AM and be at work at 6 the next morning, lol.
I miss those days. Thanks for letting me know the one on Highway 25 in Greenwood is open.

I took a CPR class many years ago where I worked, and I can guarantee you that if I had to do it now, whomever I was doing it on would be in trouble. The fact of the matter is that if you don't have a deep interest in retaining the skill, you're going to forget whatever it is you learned within a year or two, and unless you happen to beat the odds and find yourself in the whatever-hundred thousand to one situation where you would actually need to remember, it is going to be a complete waste of time. Bottom line - while it sounds like a noble goal, it's a big waste of time and a complete misuse of school time that should be spent on the three R's.
