Hunting and Fishing Day a Success at the World of Energy

National Hunting and Fishing Day turned out to be a success despite the weather this past weekend.  Nearly 1200 children, adults and students turned out in the rain for the 7th annual event hosted by the World of Energy.  Attendees enjoyed kayaking, lake fishing, fly tying, shooting bows and arrows and dressing up in camo gear. 

Activities at the event were all free thanks to the sponsors which included Duke Energy, Upstate Forever, SCDNR, Clemson Extension, Weatherby Foundation, Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund, Trout Unlimited, U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance Foundation, Calm Water Kayaks, Outdoor Adventures, SC Wildlife Federation, SC 4-H shooting Sports and Academy Sports.
