Celebrate the Carolinas Coming to Pickens

Fox Carolina is throwing a party in Pickens on July 18.

On Thursday, July 18th FOX Carolina is coming to Pickens! FOX will broadcast their morning show with Joe Gagnon live from E. Main Street in front of the Courthouse. The show begins at 7am and ends at 9am. The event will feature a blood drive by The Blood Connection, live music by the YAMs (Young Appalachian Musicians), a flow coaster demo track, a fire house for the kids to crawl through, local businesses and organizations, and more. Pickens Revitalization Association and the City of Pickens are hoping for a large crowd.

"We would love to have as many people as we can squeeze on to Main Street on Thursday morning," said Allison Fowler, Executive Director of the Pickens Revitalization Association. "Celebrate the Carolinas offers us a chance to show the Upstate how Pickens is thriving. We want businesses and organizations to come out and showcase what makes them unique. We want people to come out to support Pickens...and to get a chance to be on live television!

With so many cultural activities, great festivals and events happening, Fox Carolina wants to invite their viewers to "Celebrate" the diversity by highlighting what makes each town so great.  For ten days Morning News reporter Joe Gagnon will be live on the air from 7am-9am and involved in all of the fun! Each town gets the opportunity to illuminate the passions of the people, the places to visit, and the pride that makes these great towns a place to remember.
