The Pickens County Library System is partnering with United Way and Americorps to provide FREE Money Smart Classes, taught by a trained Americorps member at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. The Money Smart curriculum, developed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), strives to help individuals enhance their financial skills and create positive banking relationships. Topics will include: bank services, consumer rights, credit, loans, savings, home ownership, and financial recovery. There will be one course geared specifically for teens (17 and under), and another course for adults (18 and up).
The Money Smart series for teens will be held on Tuesdays at 4pm, beginning May 15 and running through June 5.
