Sen. Larry Martin & Rex Rice Debate Tonight

Incumbent Sen. Larry Martin and challenger, petition candidate Rex Rice will face off at Tri County Technical College at the third of the series presented by Pickens County Votes (PCVotes)

The purpose of this debate is twofold.
1. We at PCVotes desire to bring the voting public closer to the process of selecting state Senators and all elected officials. when the voters are fully informed, they make better, more intelligent decisions at the voting booth.
2. When the candidates have the opportunity to inform the public their stance on all the issues, they are able to make sure everyone understands how they will represent them in office.

The candidates running for the District 2 Senate seat are:

Sen. Larry Martin (incumbent)(R)
Rex Rice (Challenger)(Petition Candidate)

Rex Rice can be bought. Just ask Richard Jones. Rice promised Jones he would support him for the USC Board but when he got a large donation from a contender, he became a turncoat.

You say that as if we're supposed to be stupid enough to think that Larry Martin can't be bought? From the looks of things, for the past 32 years, he's been bought off on a weekly basis and you can see that by how little industrial growth has come into Pickens County, as well as western Greenville and northern Anderson County over the past 30+ years compared to what's come into the area between Greenville and Spartanburg. By that I mean, anywhere near Alice Mfg. Co's mills, from whom Larry Martin has been collecting fat paychecks for a cushy make-work job. Now who gets hired into that kind of job without a college degree, and continues to keep such a job after 4 or their mills close outsourcing nearly 2000 Pickens County jobs without it being at least remotely considering his being bought off? That along with that $30K pension he gets as a reward funded by the folks that have had to find jobs outside Pickens County.
Oh, and I just got a card from the Martin campaign that says that there's outside interest wanting to get Larry Martin voted out. Well, if you've gone anyywhere near the Arial Mill since it closed manufacturing operations in 2003, you'll see for youself boxes stacked to the ceiling labeled "MADE IN CHINA". This is what now backs Larry Martin. HOW'S THAT FOR AN OUTSIDE INTEREST!
