Looking for some great local hikes? I really like the trail at the Hagood Mill in Pickens. It's not very long, at 3/4 of a mile, but it's a nice way to explore the Hagood Mill site. You'll get a nice look at the gristmill, a true piece of local history.
There are trails in Pickens County that bring you to some beautiful waterfalls. Tour Pickens County lists where these waterfalls are and how long it will take you to get to them.
I also enjoy walking the disc golf course at J.B. "Red" Owens Recreation Complex in Easley. It's a nice walk and you'll probably see some local wildlife, depending on when you go.
