Waffle House to Hold Waffle-Eating Contest Tomorrow

$5 entry fee gets you a chance at prize and bragging rights.

If you've driven by A Plus Rentals on South Pendleton Street, you may have seen their sign advertising a waffle-eating contest.

Daniel Carver with A Plus Rentals says he's helping the Waffle House next door get the word out on their contest.

The waffle-eating contest is slated for Tuesday, September 25 at 5pm, according to Waffle House manager Ray Coleman.

$5 enters you in the contest, Coleman said.

“Whoever eats the most waffles gets a prize,” Coleman said.

The $5 fee will go into a pool, so the jackpot could be a large one if a large number of people enter.

“It just depends on how many people show up,” Coleman said.

This is the first time the Easley Waffle House has done such a contest, he said.

Coleman said he wanted to do something fun for the community
