Two drivers are dead after a fatal crash on Highway 183, six miles North of Easley, in Pickens County Sunday morning.

According to Highway Patrol, around 9:05 a.m. the driver of a 2001 Nissan four-door was travelling south on Highway 183, near Hitt Road, when it crossed the double-yellow line and struck and oncoming car head on.

The driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, troopers said.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet, also died at the scene. The driver of this vehicle was wearing a seat belt, according to troopers.

The accident is under investigation. The Pickens County Coroner's Office has not released the names of the drivers at this time.
