Terry Bradshaw: MOW Needs Everyone's Support

NFL great urges community support Food Fight Bowl fundraiser on August 17.

My name is Terry Bradshaw. You know my name even if you don’t recognize the new physique. Ain’t I pretty since I lost 30 pounds?

But seriously, folks: Are you ready for some football? The fifth annual Sam Wyche Food Fight Bowl is set for August 17th at Pickens.

This will be the first meeting of these teams in the new stadium. As usual, it will be a packed house, with bragging rights on the line.

As usual, the game is important, but the cause is crucial. Pickens County Meals on Wheels counts on this event to help them serve almost 250 shut ins, five days a week, all year long.
I have accomplished a lot after being chosen as the first pick in the 1970 draft. I have 4 Super Bowl wins; Super Bowl records with 9 TD passes and 932 yards. My 30 post season Td’s and 3,833 passing yards are both NFL highs; and I am so proud of my 1978 MVP recognition.

But, none of this would have happened were it not for my team mates solid and dependable play, down after down. They did this in all kinds of weather, with
lots of other obligations and with everyone counting on them to
be at the top of their game.

I sound like I am talking about the Meals on Wheels volunteers that perform the same way, with the same consistent, smiling payback to the community. Ain’t they pretty?

Meals on Wheels needs you to support your favorite team.
Please donate generously to the Food Fight Bowl team of your choice.

There will be no ties this year--winner take all, no matter how close the totals!

My team mates were always there for the most important victories--everyone in Pickens County can play a role in this victory, as well. Ain’t that going to be pretty?
