Swamp Rabbit Trail's Economic Impact Focus of Chamber Event
Event will be held Thursday morning at Starving Artist Cafe.
An Easley Chamber of Commerce event will feature two speakers connected with the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
The breakfast event will be held 7:30-9:30am Thursday, Sept. 13 at the Starving Artist Cafe, according to Cindy Hopkins, Easley Chamber President.
Lisa Hallo, Director of Sustainable Communities Program for Upstate Forever, and Dr. Julian Reed, Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at Furman University, will speak.

“There's been a lot of talk locally about the Rails to Trails projects,” Hopkins said. “Dr. Reed conducted and compiled the economic impact study that was done regarding the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We thought it would be interesting to educate and inform our members about the positive impacts these trails can have on the community.”
The cost to attend is $10 for Chamber members and $13 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and those planning to attend should register by noon on Sept. 12, Hopkins said.
