Readers' Choice Winner: Publix

With 46 percent of the vote, the Florida-based grocery chain is victorious.

In our fifth weekly Readers' Choice contest, we asked readers what grocery store best fit their shopping needs.

The winner for the "Readers' Choice" contest is determined by the number of votes cast. In the event of a close race, reader comments and reviews posted on our business directory will also be considered.

And this week's winner is: Publix.

With 18 votes, Publix rose to the top of this week's poll taking 46 percent of the vote.

On the Easley Patch Facebook page, Patricia Brooks Williams wrote, "Publix. Customer Service is TOPS! Quality produce and meats! Just wish the prices were lower.....but hey, you pay for what you get! Thanks Publix!"

This week 39 votes were cast. Ingles on Calhoun Memorial Highway finished in second place with 11 votes. Walmart, Bi-Lo on South Pendleton Street and Bi-Lo on Calhoun Memorial Highway each finished with three votes.

Be on the lookout for next week's "Best Of" poll. Voting will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday.
