Planning to have a Staycation this summer?

The portmanteau “Staycation” is really just a trendier term for a Day Trip that requires minimal planning and travel, while still ensuring a grand time.

Here in the Upstate, there are lots of options for day trips.

On Monday, we asked readers to tell us the best way to spend a staycation.

By majority vote the winner of the Staycation Destination: Hiking South Carolina.

Table Rock, Caesar's Head or Paris Mountain State Parks are all beautiful places to stretch your legs and enjoy nature.

While there are plenty of hiking trails, there's also camping, swimming and paddle boats to enjoy.
