Readers' Choice: Name Your Favorite Produce Market
We have relaunched our Readers' Choice contest with dozens of new categories, including produce markets or stands.
While fresh vegetables may be found throughout the year, summer time always makes you think about visiting the farmer’s market and produce stands much more often.
The grill is being used more these days and what provides a better side to that steak, chicken or fish than a side of grilled vegetables.
Looking for the best produce in town? Walter at Bi-Lo isn’t the only one who’s trying to satisfy your need for great fruits and vegetables.
Local produce stands and farmer’s markets provide a variety of goods in addition to a fresh assortment of produce.
Have a produce stand or farmer’s market that you frequent? What makes you go back? Great service? Great prices? Great vegetables? Or the little things you stumble across like real vanilla extract, local honey and strawberry preserves?
Tell us about your favorite stop and nominate it for our “Best Produce Stand or Farmer’s Market” as Patch unveils its Readers’ Choice.
Just log in and post your vote in the comments section below. You may nominate multiple places, but please post each nomination in a separate comment so we can make sure they are all counted. Your nominee must be in Easley, Mauldin or Taylors to be eligible.
Nominations are due by July 9.
Voting for Readers’ Choice 2012 will begin in late July and winners will be announced in August.

I hit up the Easley Farmers Market nearly every Saturday. They've got everything from gorgeous produce to fresh bread to a Bloody Mary mix that I'm addicted to.

Tomato Vine on Buncombe Rd., Greenville, SC, always has great produce and prices. Along with jams, jellies, honey and many other goodies.

I second Hal...Joel Ann, the owner of the Open-Air Market, treats every customer as a friend and the produce is always fresh. Great place.

Open-Air Market on East Butler in Mauldin is the best. I've been shopping there for years, and of course Joel Ann makes sure the produce is fresh and the customers are happy.
