Because of a high probability of ice on the roads in the afternoon, Pickens County public schools will be dismissed at 10 a.m., Friday, January 25.

The district said they have had early reports of freezing rain in the northern part of the county. Because of this, the district is avoiding the risk of families driving home from school in dangerous conditions and dismissing early, according to a release from the district.

All after school activities are cancelled as well.

Activities will resume as normal on Saturday.
