Rain may have dampened the spirits of those attending the Back to School Water Blast, but once the rain stopped the fun began.
The City of Easley celebrated students return to the classroom with water.
The Back to School Water Blast was held Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Old Market Square.
Rain and thunder stopped the festivities for about 45 minutes, but the fun soon resumed.
The water had cooled off, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
Around Easley water stood in low-lying areas and at least two restaurants, Domino's and Bellacino's lost power for a period of time.
