With Win Over Clemson, USC Ties School Record for Wins

Despite losing the Battle for the Palmetto State, Clemson will play for ACC title.

South Carolina and Clemson, both at the tail end of fantastic football seasons, met on the gridiron in Columbia tonight.

South Carolina improved its record to 10-2, tying the school record set by the 1984 Black Magic Gamecocks.

Clemson falls to 9-3, but has two games remaining. Next week, the Tigers will play Virginia Tech in the ACC title game in Charlotte, N.C., before both teams head to bowl games.

Congratulations to the USC Gamecocks on their decisive win over the clemson tigers. Now, win your bowl game and get ready for next season. Perhaps they can win the SEC title which is their next major goal.

Morrison was 10-1 in the regular season and was the only 4A team to go 10-1, but he had the Championship title stolen from him by the ncaa who changed BYU's 2a to 4a status at the end of the season not at the beginning of the season like it should have been so that they compared apple to apple and not apple to orange. It was stolen from him. He did everything right. It was everybody else that was wrong. Here's to you Joe. You are still number1! Rest in peace my brother.

The answer to that is eight times...

The record for consecutive wins for either team is Clemson's seven straight from 1934-40
