Gallery: Fox Carolina Celebrates Easley
Large crowd turned out for Fox Carolina's "block party, street festival and pep rally" this morning at J.B. "Red" Owens Complex.
Easley got to show its stuff on television this morning, as Fox Carolina brought its "Celebrating the Carolinas" party to the J.B. "Red" Owens Complex.
Hosts Cody Alcorn and Joe Gagnon interviewed many city officials and other notables, including the coaches of the SC District 1 Team, which is ready for the Big League Baseball World Series.
The team helped Alcorn and Gagnon as they faced off in a home run contest.
Many aspects of the city had the spotlight shown on them, from the Fine Arts Center of Easley to area car dealers to the students of Tri-County Technical College's Easley Campus.
Gagnon demostrated the roomy trunk of one Hendricks Honda vehicle - by crawling inside it.
Many businesses and organizations had booths set up during the festival including Baptist Easley, the Parenting Place, Starving Artist Cafe, Trophies Unlimited and the Art of Dale Stone.
The Bojangles chicken was entertaining the crowd, at one point showing off a bandaged, er, wing, from giving blood to The Blood Connection.
The Easley Farmers Market had a table showing off some of the bounty that's available every Saturday at the market.
At the end of the festivities, the crowd joined Alcorn, Gagnon and the Fox Carolina crew in a big dance party.

It was great to see the Easley business community come out and support Fox Carolina the city, and the Big League World Series....even though it was hot and very humid at the wee hours of the morning.
