Upon arrival, they found an adult female, Sandy Lee Smith with a gunshot wound to her upper torso.

Deputies checked Smith for signs of life and continued clearing the residence for other victims or a suspect.

They found Daniel Gabriel Smith in a bedroom with a gunshot wound to the chin area.

While continuing to search the home, officers heard a gunshot outside the residences.

They found William D. Thomas near some outbuildings about 75 yards from the home.

Thomas had a gunshot wound to the head.

Thomas was Daniel Smith's step-father and was married to Sandy Smith.

He is suspected of killing his wife and stepson.

Daniel Smith was an Easley High School student and was a member of the wrestling team, and the JV Football team.

Daniel Smith had competed in Thursday's game against Seneca High School.

“Please remember the EHS family as we deal with the tragic death of one of our student athletes," Principal Tim Mullis said."The loss of life is always tough, but it is extremely difficult when it involves a young person. Daniel will be missed in the classroom and on the playing fields.”

Autopsies are being conducted this morning. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office is still investigating.
