BI-LO Recalls Two Store Brand Pasta Salads
The supermarket chain has issued a voluntary recall of Southern Home Bacon Ranch Salad Mix and Southern Home Creamy Parmesan Salad Mix because the packages could contain small metal fragments.
If you are planning a July 4th cookout with a menu that includes pasta salad, be sure to check the label.
An Upstate-state based grocery chain has issued a voluntary recall on two store brand products, after the Food & Drug Administration said the product could contain small metal fragments.
On Friday, BI-LO, which is headquartered in Mauldin, issued a recall for Southern Home Bacon Ranch Salad Mix and the Southern Home Creamy Parmesan Salad Mix, according to a press release from the store.
"We encourage consumers in possession of any of the recalled items to immediately discard the product or bring it back to their local BI-LO," said Allen Reavis, BI-LO's vice president of grocery. "As part of the company's Satisfaction Guarantee, customers who have purchased the product may visit their neighborhood store to request a full refund."
The grocer is not aware of any issues with the products at this time, but has recalled the products in stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee:
