Hat Queens Visit Easley

On July 14th, 16 ladies of the UDC (United Daughters of the Confederacy) known as the Hat Queens visited Easley to infuse the town with money. The ladies shopped at Something Special and found the store to their liking with items to fill their homes and jewelry. Then they moved on down to Chic Chapeau II own and operated by Ms. Shirley Young. This was the main target for the Hat Queens to purchase dress hats for the various events that the ladies attend. Many hats, gloves, scarves and other accessories were purchased.

The Ladies took a break for lunch at the Starving Artist Cafe and enjoyed a wonderful lunch and especially the deserts.

The Hat Queens are from the upstate area Anderson, Westminster and Taylors along with Easley. The event was put together by Hope Kateman of Easley.

The Ladies enjoyed themselves with the many stores in Easley and found Easley to be a wonderful town for shopping.
